On the shore

It was a beautiful day, so we ventured down to the mouth of the river Don. It was a bit busy with people and dogs, so there weren't many birds about apart from the seagulls and a few mallards.  However, this mallard had the company of a few sanderlings (some are not in the picture) and a turnstone.
