The way home
I sat for a while and watched the waves from Scapa Flow coming over the top of Barrier One before I drove homewards at lunchtime.
Nothing too dramatic today - the crests of the waves rose up as they hit the concrete blocks which form the outer layer of the causeway but then they were blasted by the wind into a fine spray.
It was a day of increasing winds and hail showers. Really not pleasant to be out in it but after the shambles of the week, due to technology failures, I needed to put in the hours today.
A cosy evening by the fire. Strictly and knitting. Perfect.
