Old Lady

One of our most beautiful moths, the Southern Old Lady Moth (Dasypodia selenophora).  I reckon this one must be newly hatched, she is tip-top condition.  After the obligatory photo I caught her and put her outside.

I have heard it said that they are called old lady moths because their wings resemble the cloak of an old lady.
