Blipping tree collection.
In the six and a half year I have been blipping there must be quite a collection of trees that have caught my eye.
Here are two more.
The main shot is a Yew. At first I thought it had put out all it lower branches to the left because there was more light in that direction. But I think the simple explanation is that any which grew to the right were chopped off because they obstructed the footpath.
The Extra is unusual. It is a coppiced Oak. There is a strong tradition round here of coppicing Hazels, but I do not recall seeing Oaks treated in this way. The result is that it has ended up with seven trunks.
