35 Years

Today marks 35 years since I saw Hawkwind’s fantastic Chronicle of the Black Sword tour in Aberdeen’s Ritzy venue. The venue stage was too small for the full on version of the show, so the band had to play a cut down version of events. Since this was the days before the internet, I’d no idea what I missed till I got hold of the video of the final night of the tour at Hammersmith Odeon some time the year after. Here’s an ancient photo of me from these times wearing the tour tee shirt I bought on the day of the gig.
