Bread and jam

Today's the day ……………………. for homemade

One of the good things that has come out of the pandemic lockdown is the continued production of homemade supplies.

When you really didn't want to go out of the house to get food, any more than necessary, we were lucky that practically everything we needed came to us, courtesy of the local shops.  But at the same time, it made sense to make stuff at home - like fresh bread, cakes, jams, pickles and the like.

I can't remember now, the last time I actually bought a loaf of bread from the supermarket - because Will is still making the bread.  And there's still plenty of jams and marmalade in the cupboard to keep us going for quite a while yet ……………………

PS Just noticed that three years ago, Tess was tucking into some supermarket bread in the back of the car!
