Autumn Light...

.... in the late afternoon.  I took my macro lens out today intending to find some fungi which I did and they were fine specimens (jelly ears) but I really prefer the more delicate and dainty varieties.  Walking back to the car the sun came out briefly and really made these trees pop making it hard to resist making it today's blip.

I've just started reading Barack Obama's memoir A Promised Land and I'm already hooked, it's an easy read and I'm finding it fascinating.  It's going to be one of those books that I won't be able to put down and yet it's sure to leave me feeling deflated when I reach the end of it. :-)
