A showery day, but an enjoyable drive to Picton via Nelson Lakes and the Wairau Valley. It is not our usual route and while slightly longer the traffic was almost non existent until we reached Renwick near Blenheim.

The main photo was taken in evening light from Snout track car park above Picton Harbour.

The first extra is from the Harbour View car park on the same hill. It shows the two ferries representing the two companies which travel across the Cook Strait. Our favourite choice is The Bluebridge.

The second extra was a field of yellow at Rainbow Station near Nelson Lakes.
