Kayaking on the Buller

After school, son T went out Kayaking with a few of his friends and his Teacher. This is the second time that he has been in a kayak, the first on a river - last week they practised at the School swimming pool. In this photo, T is following his teacher, while the rest of his friends were still kayaking down the river.

We are very fortunate to have a dedicated Teacher at our school that gives up his own time to take our children out on the river for lessons. Murchison has many fantastic rivers to go kayaking on. The first weekend in March, sees the annual BullerFest competition being held in Murchison. Buller Festival is New Zealand's premier white water event. Three days, four action filled events and the country's largest gathering of it's kind. Should be a wonderful weekend for blip photo's.
