Catstones Moor

We hit the best weather for our walk this morning. Cloud looking down to Bingley but sun and blue skies as we headed towards Catstones Moor from Hunters Hill.
It was quite a chilly wind when we got onto the moor but it remained dry for all our walk,

It was a bit of a surprise to see the sheep, especially here where there is very little vegetation other than rather colourful moss since the fire a few summers ago. Still the sheep seem to be finding something to eat.

We crossed Ryecroft Rd onto Harden Moor which was a bit busier with dog walkers, and then across Keighley Road into the woods of the St Ives Estate. Our penultimate destination was The Ivy kitchen for an al fresco coffee sitting in the picnic area.

Dropping back down into the village we bumped into Auntie P and B and then we popped into the garden centre. They didn’t have what I wanted but I came away with a church candle and a white Pointsettia.  Decided to get one whilst they had lots of choice.

On our way through the village I noticed a couple more painted windows that looked to be by the same artist as Wendles56 on her blip yesterday
Think our village advent windows are going to be interesting and you will probably see them on multiple blips!

We did 5.4 miles this morning , a bit more than we’d planned but a good walk to start the week.
