Dark ....

Inspired by others I thought I too would try the Date and Chocolate Cake Recipe which featured recently in the Guardian.  

I didn't have a round cake tin so used two load tins instead and it doesn't seem to have come to any harm. It smells good but once cooled I will wrap as instructed and put away until Christmas. 

In today's other news my baby sister turns 50 !  How did that happen.  She lives in the Netherlands and whilst I wouldn't normally have seen her on her birthday, we had planned a weekend away to celebrate and I also normally go for a visit around this time. Hopefully we will meet up next year and make up for lost time and some!
