Sally Mair - Loving life

Let Blackhall Shine

I had a dreadful night last night, I gave up at 2am and got up to have hot milk and toast, then again at 4.30 when I made a bowl of porridge, don't ask me why but it seemed a good idea at the time! There seem to be more and more of us mentioning our insomnia in our blips just now. I don't know if it's time of year or continued uncertainty or what. I just seem to have so many things whirling around my head just now and my mind lurches from one to the next once I get started. If I knew when I was having my knee surgery I think that would help a lot as I would then be able to plan. As it is I know I'm going to be out of action for at least a month but I don't know when. As an organiser, planner and somebody who likes to have things ordered and under control it's really getting to me.
Hopefully a good sleep tonight will help me get things back in perspective a bit.
Monday again today. I made a point of doing a decent amount of walking and clocked up 12000 steps for the first time in a long time. Mainly in mile and a half to two mile jaunts, but pleased to have got going. We went to the Gyle this afternoon so Colin could get his specs adjusted and I made a quick sortie into M&S - unsuccessful then Boots, very successful. I ended up having to go to our own wee Marks to get what I wanted as the huge store at the Gyle didn't have it.
My blip today is my early contribution to lighting up our area, I thought it looked rather nice in black and white so it's a mono Monday contribution too.
Keep well and safe everybody. We're getting there I think.
