Research

I’ve been doing some research lately about the location of the First Nations people in Canada before Europeans arrived on the scene.

We as a nation cannot look at other nations too smugly and point fingers at their history of racism. We have our own challenges in Canada.

So I want to know more about how they occupied the lands. Who was whom and where was their home area. The continent seems to have been fairly well populated in that day.

Of course they did some moving around as well. In this area here we have ancient tribal roads or paths that criss cross the land. Many of those old roads cross through farms here. With the occasional grave still known to be beside the path.

It is a deeply interesting study to me. I love history and here where we live we are considerably close to those times, relatively speaking of course.
