2020 Monday — In the Room

This is Day 4 of radiation treatments for Mr. Fun. The treatments are M-F, no holidays, so he’ll only have 4 treatments this week. He has 18 months of hormone therapy; 1 injection every 3 months. He is due for the third injection in early December. The hormone kills the cancer by removing its food. The cancer feeds on testosterone (the Lupron — a female hormone — kills testosterone). The radiation kills the prostate (I think).

The side effect is the hormone makes him hungry; food has always been his weakness, so this is a concern. He walks every morning, that helps. Pray that he has normal hunger and high energy. Thank you to everyone who is praying for him to be healed of cancer.
