Fenced

Well the fence is up and the county should be happy now.

They have for a long time felt that the church is too close to the highway. We agree, especially when the children make a mad dash out the front door and head out without realizing the speed of vehicles coming down that highway.

When the church was built, there was only a dirt horse path there heading south past the church. We have pictures from the time with a dirt trail there.

We used to have stables in the church yard as well for people to “park” their horses and wagons during worship.

So it was more a matter of the highway encroaching upon the land of the church. But that’s little comfort if there ever would be an accident out front.

So the fence is up and looks pretty good. The farmers did a great job on it.
