Towards the End of Autumn...

On our afternoon walk.  

Barney has finally been stripped.   I've been putting it off as Barns is not at all keen on the whole process and I've had to give up the whole thing after a only managing a very quick 'tidy-up' on all previous attempts.  His coat had got so long though and his trainer at dog school, who has two borders, said that it really needed to be done to keep the coat healthy.  So he's now completely stripped and looking neat and tidy - and very small.  He now weighs half a kilo less and there is what looks like half a dog in the bin.  :-)
  I achieved this momentous feat with the help of Mr K, a cloth muzzle, and a bag full of dried chicken necks.  It was strenuous work but it turns out that after Barney's extensive but thankfully short-lived initial protestations, he quite enjoys it!  Lets hope he remembers this fact next time... :-)
