Scarlet Waxcap

Never seen one of these before but they are, apparently, to be found in the Stroud area. Such a lovely shade of red and intact- what a treat!

Today I grabbed a career opportunity, spread my wings and gave them a good flap. I’m proud and happy I went for it. Hopefully I will get a further opportunity.

I’m going to celebrate my achievement by making myself a very seasonal rainbow chard and feta dish. As I have the afternoon off I may even go the whole hog and treat myself to reorganising my knitwear drawer (living the high life eh?) Got some urgent jobs to do involving admin, pest control and claiming refunds- I think the afternoon will fly!
