Tried this style of combining layers some time ago just to see how it worked.  I think it is important to find the right location to make the most of the technique known as the Pep Ventosa style after the photographer who has made it his own. I took these yesterday and I think the many support structures of Southend Pier lend themselves to the style but I will keep looking for another location.  I prefer it used for architectural images rather nature studies.
