Buttermere

It was blowing a hoolie this afternoon as we walked around Buttermere.

We only met 6 other people on our 2hour+ walk around the lake. ( apparently there were hundreds on Sunday afternoon in the sunshine ).

The red markings on that sheep are called smit marks...every farmer has their own smit marks so that their sheep can be identified straight away.

Not to be confused with colours that rams leave on the back of ewes when they impregnate them.
