Jasmine Scarecrow

Today's image is of a small toy scarecrow that lives in our back garden. He has been there for several years but I must admit I have not given him a second thought for most of that time. Again I had not managed to take an image all day until I went out to get the washing in and noticed him lying against our large bush, with pretensions to be a hedge, of winter jasmine. The large yellow flower on his hat matched the colour of the flowers of the winter jasmine. 
As the first part of this plant's name suggests it really comes alive in the winter - especially after a decent frost. On a dull winter's day (of which we have had many recently) it's bright yellow flowers really come into their own.
