Landscape (in miniature)

Everywhere near our house is in a constant state of construction.  Three vans from an electricity company parked within metres of our house and more at the end a large trench has been excavated. In a residential street had to wait for traffic lights to exit onto main road.  The main half mile arterial road into the city is half-blocked by red and white cones and other two-toned road dividing furniture. Construction vehicles move up and down, progress is negligible and further upheaval conspicuous. It was a relief to leave the chaos and commotion into a quiet residential area - the shortcut to the supermarket and relative calm in spite of covid.
Took Murray for a sunny, chilly walk round neighbouring streets. Avoiding the rec as structural engineers are drilling and its too heartbreaking.
Watched more Cambridge Literary Festival talks in the evening which I'm still enjoying.
Stay safe everyone.
