Bird Collage

our internet connection went down last night just as I was ready to upload yesterday's blip.

Still down this morning so I decided to create a collage of my favourite images from yesterday's visit to the Argaty Red Kite centre. A brautiful day out and the ranger was really helpful with lots of interesting information . It must be wonderful to be working at something so intersting and also something about which he is so passionate. The kites are fed a minimal amount of meat once a day october to march , just enough to give them some nourishment without making them dependant on the food set out by the staff.

We watched from the hide and saw about 40 kites hovering overhead before swooping down for the food. A bold heron also swooped down and made off withsome of the tasty treat left out for the kites.

very dull today , not sure what I'll be able to blip. perhaps the washing blowing on the line. Who knows?
