Pheasant

This jolly pheasant was roaming around pecking at acorns on the ground in the long grass at Harlow Carr Gardens this afternoon. Initially he was reluctant to pose for the camera and seemed oblivious to my presence. My blip-assistant with me obliged by creating some noise so he looked up and the blip was taken!
In the extra are some crab apples in the afternoon sunshine. Prior to seeing the pheasant, they were a contender for today's blip.
