African Sacred Ibis-Threskiornis aethiopicus
Charmaine accompanied MJ, a friend of ours who has a security business, to inspect the electrical fencing around our complex this morning, but just minutes after they left the house, she phoned me to get my camera becuase she's coming to pick me up quickly! I coudn't guess what was the reason for her excitement!
What a wonderful surprise! Under Lillan's favourite tree in the back of the complex, were about 20 of these beauties plus 2 Hadeda Ibis's and a few Crowned Plovers! I suppose they were 'hiding' under the tree, from the scorching sun.
It was real difficult to decide which one of the 80 photos to blip, I sooo wanted to show you the whole flock, but I luv'd this one with the wings wide open!
