Shortlisted for Costa First Novel Award

My friend Perveen let me know that The Family Tree has been put on the shortlist for the Costa First Novel Award. It is her daughter Sairish's first novel. I'm delighted for her. 
I did a bit of cleaning today and got my Christmas Tree out of its box. I'll put the baubles on tomorrow. I had a walk to the post office in sunshine and then went to pick up a parcel from M and S also bought a few treats.
