OAKFIELD ROAD

Made a slow start to the day and it was already getting dark as I left the house to go to the Co-op.  I took my blip shot for Wide Wednsday just round the corner from my house.  The theme today is " Street Photo".  This is Oakfield Road - its the main road through the housing estate and its the bus route for buses to Newcastle or the Metrocentre. It was very quiet when I took my photo at around 4.20pm. Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting.

This song brings back happy memories of the last family holiday we had together.  It was in 2000 when we went on a coach tour in America.  We started in New York, drove up to Niagara Falls, back down to Washington, then Gettysburg, Philadelphia and back to New York to fly home.  All in a week.  Every morning when the coach pulled away to begin the days journey the driver would play this Willie Nelson song.  It was a fabulous holiday. 

Another good night of TV viewing... Portrait Artist of the Year, Masterchef The Professionals and Im a Celebrity. Its been a cold day today so its nice to settle down and be cosy in front of the TV for a few hours.
