…………………..Lighthouse

This photogenic black & white lighthouse is within Wellington Harbour on the Miramar Peninsular.

As per the forecast, we woke to rain, and like yesterday, no wind. The capitol city of NZ wasn’t living up to its reputation of windy Wellington!

It was a late morning checkout and close to midday when we arrived at this point and fortunately the rain had stopped - with intermittent showers for the remainder of the day.

The first extra photo, taken from the top floor lounge of our lighthouse accommodation before checkout shows a local fishing boat heading out towards the Cook Strait while two InterIslander ferries cross - the one on the left is sailing towards Wellington and the one on the right is sailing towards Picton in the South Island.

The second extra is a closer view of where we stayed. Yesterday’s extra showed it in its environment and the text explained the interior floor plan.
