Dark day

Working from home. I managed a walk around the wetlands and back during my break. 
It never really got light today. I was cheered by the knowledge that in a few weeks time daylight hours will start to get longer again.
I've also decided that I will spend Christmas at home. I cannot risk travelling to Manchester and staying over with my sister and her adult kids for a few days. It makes no sense that people are being allowed to do this.
They didn't allow this for Ramadan and they didn't allow this for Diwali.
Work was horrendous today and is likely to be again tomorrow.
I'm in the office too. 
I'll be glad for my days off after tomorrow.
