Bury Pace Eggers

After a lot of rushing about this morning we popped into Bury for a few things and bumped into the Bury Pace Eggers in the street so i asked them if i could take a shot and they happily obliged here.

In answer to my question of what a Pace Egger was they said to follow them so J9 and I ended up strolling along with half a dozen of them until they put on their mummers play in the old station pub!

Turns out its an old easter tradition dating back to the middle ages to herald spring and scare off witches! very very cool to come across things like this, keeps tradition alive, puts a real smile on your face and even better raises a lot of money for a local hospice. Absolute stars the lot of them :)
