Fire-forest

In some places, where the fires roared through last summer, the bush has regenerated in various ways. Here, where it was extremely intense, the eucalypts are struggling but the Grass Trees (Xanthorrhoeas) have multiplied incredibly. They're the creamy sticks, actually the inflorescences, you can see, making up their own forest! So you've got this amazing mix of black trees and pale, vertical poles....Mindbending stuff!
