Got up early to collect Emma from Gare du Nord at 10ish, let the mini holiday begin! We went to Opera for a look round the Galeries Lafayette and the surrounding area, which is all very fancy and expensive, and amazingly clean, before going to that creperie... literally fifth time in just over a month, they must be sick of me. First failure in my Lent resolution to give up chocolate: When the waitress came to ask what flavour ice cream, all my mental energy was going into remembering 'not chocolate not chocolate not chocolate' so I blurted 'mint!' ...and of course what mint ice cream comes without chocolate chips :\ oops.

We stayed there making the most of the unlimited cider, then carried on wandering, got to the Jardin des Tuileries and walked to the end, stopping at the Orangerie museum as there was no queue at all, to see Monet's waterlilies. We then got the metro to Bercy Village where we had a bargainous 3-euro glass of wine each at Nicolas shop/bar (only ones in the place), and then met Emily and Kate at Hippopotamus a few bars down, for some more drinks, before we all went to one final bar there. We then got the train back to Chavtown, went for a quick supermarche shop before meeting Elisabo and going back to mine for dinner.
