Anemone coronaria
I have taken the advice from an article I read about how to keep cut flowers in good health.
I didn't know this :- add bleach ( !!!!! ) or acid - I added lemon juice to the water to kill the bacteria which make the stems go slimy.
Sear the cut ends in hot water, the length of time is proportionate to the stem length - so I think 10 seconds is OK
It seems to be working as here's the bud opening, with the anemone flower I originally blipped in the background.
