By the fire

A cold damp day today with bitter howling gale force winds. It was market day, but there were only four stalls today - most of them had decided to give it a miss, not surprisingly given the strength of the wind. I saw a few friends there and chatted  briefly, and spent most of the rest of the day indoors. I made a big pot of spicy vegetable soup and kept the fire well stoked, so it ended up being nice and cosy.
