All lit up

Since it's official opening a few weeks ago, we've been trying to get a glimpse of this building lit up in the night. Today, we finally saw it! It's pretty spectacular! Getting ready for UAE National Day weekend no doubt.

G picked me up after she finished work and we went to IKEA to return an item. We then had coffee and cake and I got to check out their E14 LED bulbs. It was great to see their Christmas decs out, but none of it came home with us (i.e. no poinsettia - yet!)

We then went to Carrefour and ended up looking in their tech section - We love seeing new gadgets. The new HP all-in-one computer caught G's eye today.

Back home to cruise into the rest of the day. G had a lesson at 4 which is really late for a Thursday. We got to AWANA online just in time, then T@3 for the first time in ages and then, around 8:30, we ventured out for dinner! Daily Dose Cafe Lounge on Beach Road was very empty on Thursday night. Just as well because we couldn't book and with COVID restrictions, if it was busy, we would have to find somewhere else to eat.

The food was delicious and the portions small. Maybe too small. I've never seen a club sandwich with just two slices of bread! I had intended to do another video today but it didn't happen. We got to watch the movie Africa United again. It's a little treasure!
