Arrangement in Grey Black & Gold: Whistler's Tiger
So T. Tiger and I were just sitting around, really missing the local art museum scene. When suddenly, T. Tiger said to me, "Let's make some art!"
And so we decided to recreate a famous painting, James McNeill Whistler's Arrangement in Grey and Black No 1, known affectionately as Whistler's Mother.
We found a small chair that was just the right size, and I fashioned a tiny work of art to hang on the wall behind him, and a curtain. And we draped the Tiger in a little black cloak, with a white wrap around his head.
Then he sat there trying to look as serious as Whistler's own dear mama. Here is the final result, and we have to say that we had a lot of fun with it. Which one would YOU pick? The lady? Or the tiger?
The soundtrack song can only be this one: Natalie Maines, with a cover of the Pink Floyd classic, Mother. And here is Pink Floyd, with the original.
