An afternoon visit to park the CP van ready for the Open Air Market this weekend. We are there to raise awareness about the work our team do for Cats Protection and to do some fundraising.

As the fundraising team leader I have bought in a range of Christmas goods to sell. Trying to sell them on line isn’t working too well, there are any number of charities and small businesses competing out there and hope we have more luck tomorrow, the sun is forecast to shine, well that’s what it says on John’s app.

We didn’t receive permission from our bosses until Sunday resulting in an interesting week one way and another. The team have rallied round and currently believe this is easier than baking dozens of cakes to sell. It’s worth reminding ourselves this is for and about cats although having said that it helps when you work with a lovely group of people.

Extras show miniature cats 3” tall, cats with attitude, they have been knitted by one of our volunteers, quite fiddly to do, and the cat mosaics are also by the same volunteers. I love her work, it’s very neat and original.
