After the fog
It was a very cold and foggy morning. When I went out to get groceries later in the morning, the fog was just rising off the river and the water was absolutely calm with mirror like reflections. By the time I parked the car the fog had lifted and some ducks had come along and spoilt the perfect reflections! So my timing was a bit too late, but it still made a picturesque scene.
Next Friday we are going to fetch Tommy from university for the end of term, and I am so looking forward to getting out and going somewhere! My world has become so small these days, I don't seem to do anything or go anywhere - I know others feel exactly the same.
The government are damned if they do and damned if they don't - we are getting a 5 day reprieve from some Covid restrictions over Christmas, which is wonderful for families to be able to spend some time together - instead of being grateful people are complaining and criticising this decision. After our lockdown ends and England goes into a tier system, this has again caused so much resentment - who knew that the allocation of tiers has nothing to do with the number of cases in those areas, the number of vulnerable people over 65, and the availability of hospital facilities, but rather it's all a Boris plot to cause a political divide?!!! Quite honestly, just suck it up and get on with it.
