Day 330/20 St John the Baptist Church

This is a small local church to us.
An ancient church which has stood on this hill for over a thousand years, providing a peaceful haven away from the villages that surround it with stunning views over the Hampshire countryside. In 1304 the Knights Hospitallers acquired the church with the right to appoint the incumbent and in 1348 North Baddesley became the headquarters of the Knights Hospitallers (Order of the Knights of St. Johns), remaining there until the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
It is still today an active church in regular use.
