What day is it?

My driving licence renewal applicationwas returned. Apparently the bank statement showing my name address and NI number was  not acceptable because it was a joint account. After several attempts I managed to get on the DVLA to' chat' with someone to find out exactly what they need as identity proof. Bearing in mind I've had my licence since early 1989 why do I have to suddenly prove it's me? The chat began with the person typing "What was you wanting to know"
The teacher in me twitched at the poor grammar.. but I soldiered on. To be honest the person wasnt much help. In the end I've sent birth, marriage certificates and a letter from the dwp . Fingers crossed it is accepted
I enclosed a Signed for  self stamped address envelope.. not that they get signed for.. The signed for letter I received today was stuffed into the letterbox. 

The rain came off so we went to AH woods. Fletch loves being there. 
He found lots of interesting smells and did lots of rolling about . It was almost as if he knew a bath was due.

Friends Tony and Linda phoned for a chat when we got back. Tony is shielding and with us being in tier 2 we shall have to hope for a dry warmish day to meet them  in their garden  and exchange Christmas presents .

I tried to get on Currys site to order a printer. Everytime I clicked on 'add to basket' it said.. error. I gave up eventually. 

Fletch was bathed and did well.  He stands quietly resigned till his ordeal is over. . After a quick towelling down he raced down the stairs and leapt over the sofa , covers going one way and cushions the other. We ve gone long past the time we thought we'd sit on it in the evening. It's his. Oh it's a dogs life.
