Flower Friday. : : November Rose

 It is hard to believe that roses are blooming over Thanksgiving weekend, but this one is valiantly sporting several blooms.  All the rest of the roses, which we thought we would have to take out have recovered almost completely, sporting healthy new leaves. It poses a bit of a dilemma as to how we prune blooming roses at the  time they are usually dormant.   

It is very uplifting to see the fields sprouting grass and the plants starting to show leaves and even flowers. The lantana is still blooming when normally IT would be dormant. Either the plant world is confused about what season it is, or it is doing its best to repair itself and present us with some pleasantly surprising discoveries....      

Trying to finish writing my entry for today is also posing a bit of a dilemma  with a dog who thinks HE should be on my lap instead of my computer. I think I'll give up the battle and pay attention to him for today.... He is definitely the most cuddly dog we have ever had....
