DELOSPERMA: Ice Plant

This evergreen  succulent usually blooms in the Summer or early Fall, so this must be literally a "late bloomer."  There was just this 1 flower in this whole mass along the sidewalk.  The hot pink, daisy like flowers usually bloom all at once & then disappear.  I guess this flower did not get the memo, but it still shimmers in the dappled sunlight.

Today is Black Friday in the US, when shoppers get a jump on their holiday shopping, but sometimes get in fist fights or partake in stampedes.  
After cooking all day Thanksgiving, the very last activity I would choose would be anything with crowds & waiting in line.  I may be the only American that has never shopped on this day.

Today the Los Angeles County  Arboretum has free admittance.  I would wait in line for a garden, so I think all public gardens in Southern California should be open for FREE on Black Friday.  The weather is usually beautiful & COVID restrictions are easily managed.  Why go to a mall when we could 
enjoy a world class garden?  

They usually have great gift shops, too.
