Blood stains

Bruce's Gi (judo jacket) got blood on it on Saturday during one of his fights. Nothing serious, I think from the fingers from one of his opponents

So after a first wash the stains are now being soaked in cold water and salt in an attempt to remove them from the cotton

Anyone got a better idea?
