Roots and wings

"There are two gifts we should give our children: one is roots and the other is wings".

Pertinent blip for today (my daughter's 22nd birthday). Her 21st year has involved many months in lockdown - including now. Despite all of that, she graduated with a first class degree, started work and moved into her first house with Dan, which is all quite something considering the conditions! She spent the day decorating her house with Christmas decorations, opening doorstep gifts, eating pizza and watching movies.
