Main road

We went for a walk today on the 'island' across which the main road crosses the Alqueva lake (a bridge on one side and a causeway on the other- except that the causeway is now high and dry) .The road in the picture is the old main road which surfaces out of the lake here, crests the hill and then plunges back into the lake on the other side of the island (good places to swim when the weathers right!)
