Meldon Reservoir
Quite a day out today. Sue and I were only going to pop over to the Aquatic Centre at Bow. But after a quick look around, somehow we just kept going. From there I drove up on to the edge of Dartmoor at Okehampton Camp where we saw some lovely little Shetland ponies. From there, we headed out to Meldon Reservoir, a short walk from the car park to the top of the dam where this image was taken.
Then on down towards Tavistock, before stopping again at Wheal Betsy, the old engine house with the crooked chimney. Back up the road before turning off for Lydford Gorge. We had missed lunch, and we were very pleased to see the cafe there was still open. I did enjoy my hot chocolate, and lovely moist chocolate brownie ;-) Thank you Sue! We then headed back to Barnstaple. A lovely day :-)
