Birthday

I’ve been really spoilt by my wonderful family and friends today. Even though this was obviously going to be a very different birthday, my lovely family pulled out all the stops to give me a wonderful day and make me feel really special.
Mr M surpassed himself with presents and birthday banners and cake and a wonderful dinner of steak and chips. We had a great walk at Rhossili, even though we couldn’t see anything from the top and a lovely lunch out. After the walk we had coffee back at the In-Laws who were looking after Lila for us - she’s not really up for a big walk now.
Then there was a wonderful surprise of a zoom call with my three lovely children - I even shed a little tear of joy. They and Mr M had all planned a quiz round each and it was a lot of fun, especially as two of the rounds involved past holiday photos and brought back fantastic memories.
I’ve had phone calls from dad, my sister and a special friend and lots of messages from friends throughout the day. I’m feeling very loved today.
I’ve had such a good day. Now chilling post-dinner with wine and Strictly and wondering how I’m going to fit dessert in. Nice problem to have.
So grateful to God for my wonderful husband, family and friends and my 56 years.
