And so it begins

Tomorrow is the first day of Advent, my favorite time of year! I love lighting the Advent candles each night at dinner, counting down the days until Christmas.
I love the cheery decorations and the family memories they stir. This little felt mouse was one of my mom’s favorite ornaments. As a biology teacher, she had a thing for mice!
I also love to drive around and see the lights. Living near the 5 star Broadmoor Resort, we get quite a light show.
This year it all seems extra special!
