Bosque del Apache

We went in search of sandhill cranes at Bosque del Apache, National Wildlife Refuge,  two hour drive south. We were denied crane sightings (they are most likely at my tree in Albuquerque), but we were delighted to be in this magical place where we found barely used trails (not another soul around) looking at the back side of the Magdalena Mts..
