Lockdown 2, Day 24

It's been a gorgeous day and really mild at 14 degrees, so I suggested we head out early in Bertie Bus, park in the forest and I'd cook bacon butties for breakfast.  We were there for 9am, and before breakfast we walked up a very big hill with views over Cuckmere Haven (see my extra).  Unfortunately it was very hazy so this is somewhere I will go back to when it's a clear day, but it's all in the timing because of the position of the sun.

When we got back to Bertie, we slid out the kitchen so I could cook outside, it was wonderful with the sun shining and the birds singing and hardly anyone around.  Then after we'd eaten we went for a walk along the river to the Coastguard Cottages, however it was a bit of an adventure as the path was very muddy!  When we got to the cottages we went to have a look at the latest cliff erosion which has left an old war bunker, which is now someone's art studio, literally teetering on the edge, it's such a shame.

We decided to walk back along a different path through the middle of the waterway as this looked drier, but unfortunately it ended up being worse and very slippy!  The advantage of taking this route through was that we were in between the river and some smaller streams so we got to see the wildlife.  There were Oyster Catchers and Little Egrets, and this one made us laugh with it's funny walk, so I decided to make a collage and submit it to 'Silly Saturday'.
