Above the murk

I ran through the foggy streets to the mud of the Water of Leith walkway then up to Bonaly where the sky lightened as I climbed. Some of the mud was just about freezing as I slithered up the paths to suddenly emerge from the gloom to enjoy a hilltop run above the clag. At one point I could see the summit of Arthur’s Seat just poking its head out from the cold blanket of moisture that hung over the city.
